The service men and women, when they're asked to do something in the cold and the rain, they don't have a choice," Vonkaenel said.William Ray, 94, has had two hip replacements and walks with the help of cane. The new deck will ensure that the home is safe and accessible for him."They're a true blessing," Ruth Ray said of the volunteers. "I just love them to death, and I didn't know there were people like that who would go out of their way to help like that."
