Iowa extends Kirk Ferentz through 2029 season
The University of Iowa announced today a contract extension for head football coach Kirk Ferentz through the 2029 football season. Ferentz, who just completed his 23rd football season as the Hawkeyes' head coach, is the longest-tenured active football coach in the country.Ferentz surpassed Hayden Fry as the school's all-time winningest coach in 2019. The Hawkeyes won 10 games in 2021, the seventh time under Ferentz.
