A Central Florida man has built a unique and rustic getaway on his sprawling 30-acre property, with several rentals for visitors to choose from.
One of the main attractions is the custom-built yurt, which allows visitors to connect with nature without sacrificing any luxuries.
"It became a wonderful art project. It became part of my art," Dan Shaw, an Airbnb host, said.
The yurt features a queen-sized bed, indoor plumbing, a TV, and a coffee machine. Visitors can also stay in a treehouse equipped with an elevator, an outdoor shower, and a hot tub made from the engine cover of a plane.
Shaw's original Airbnb, his personal mancave, adorned with all the manly memorabilia he could collect, is also available for rent.
"I didn't know what Airbnb was, and I didn't have any idea why anyone would want to rent my mancave," Shaw said. "The man cave is quirky, and it attracts very quirky guests.ā
Shaw takes pride in meeting the thousands of guests who have visited worldwide and providing them with unforgettable experiences. One of the fan favorites is interacting with the donkeys, alpacas, and baby goats.
"Like any artist, I like knowing that you enjoy what I've made. Don't tell me you don't like it, please. Just don't like it and go away. Don't tell me you don't like it," Shaw said.
For those who prefer luxury over roughing it, the seven-bedroom luxury custom home managed by Jeeves Florida Rentals in Reunion, Florida, offers a magazine-worthy experience just minutes away from the area's biggest attractions.
"This home is designed from the ground up; everything is very unique. It's very spacious. The owner definitely did the more luxury side of things with a lot of fun things for the children and all family members to do as well," said Jodie Green, elite home manager with Jeeves Florida Rentals.
The home features a drive-in movie room, a Jurassic Park-themed bedroom, a princess room, oversized bunk beds for the teens, an arcade, a bar and lounge, and an outdoor oasis with a kitchen, a fireplace, and a stunning pool.
When asked about what families say about their stay in the luxury house, Jodie from Jeeves Florida Rentals said, "They love it and they can't wait to come back."
The luxury house starts at $2,000 per night, but smaller rentals are available for those who do not wish to spend as much. The yurt starts at $133 per night.
A wedding venue and honeymoon suite are available in Danville for those who want to get married in a unique and rustic setting. Visitors can also drive golf carts and enjoy a perfect view of launches.

"It goes from like $65 to like $120, depending on the day and the house," Money said about the cost to rent one of his tiny houses.
Money came up with the idea to build the community in 2012 to provide visitors with a taste of the lake life at a bargain price, and a lot is included in the rental fee.
"There's fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, a volleyball net, and a firepit," he says.
Guests can also rent a boat for an additional fee. Each of the 13 uniquely decorated tiny homes can comfortably accommodate three to six people.
Money describes his community as unique and quaint, and guests love the ambiance and friendly community.
"It's a great place to unwind and relax," he says.
If a tiny home isn't for you, there's an alternative: the Great Escape in Clermont, a massive Airbnb that sleeps 54 people. The house is a gamer's paradise, with thousands of games lining the walls, ceilings, and floors. House manager Alyssa Cannizzo says the first floor features two escape rooms, a giant chessboard, and an immersive Jumanji theater. Upstairs, guests can play all the carnival games they want for free, and every bedroom has a theme, from video games to board games.
Despite its theme, the Great Escape is not just about fun and games. The owner prides himself on providing what he calls a "six-star experience."
"After they stay here, they say, 'When can I come back?'" says Cannizzo.
