NOW, THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SAYS THE UNIVERSITIES ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR ALLEGEDLY TAKING PART IN RACE EXCLUSIONARY PRACTICES IN THEIR GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN FEBRUARY. THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SENT A LETTER TO UNIVERSITIES SAYING THEY NEED TO END USING RACIAL PREFERENCES AND STEREOTYPES IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS. AFTER THAT, MASSACHUSETTS ATTORNEY GENERAL ANDREA CAMPBELL SENT SCHOOLS A LETTER TELLING THEM LONG STANDING LEGAL PRECEDENT ALLOWS SCHOOLS TO BUILD DIVERSE STUDENT BODIES. THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS ALSO INVESTIGATING SEVERAL SCHOOLS FOR AWARDING WHAT IT SAYS ARE RACE BASED SCHOLARSHIPS, AND A PROGRAM THAT SEGREGATES STUDENTS ON THE BASIS OF RACE.
