National Weather Service forecasters said storms in the morning will be mainly across the northern counties with the main severe threat for damaging winds.
The primary time for severe storms will be in the afternoon and evening hours when large hail and tornadoes are possible.
NWS forecasters said the severe threat will focus over the central and eastern counties. The Storm Prediction Center said the enhanced risk for severe storms is highest over the southeastern counties.
By late evening, the threat for storms will be mainly from heavy rain and damaging winds.
