Thousands of gallons of untreated wastewater were spilled into an Ankeny creek, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources says.According to the DNR, an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 gallons of sewage leaked into Saylor Creek in southwest Ankeny due to a broken force main near a lift station.The DNR says the flow of the sewage has been stopped.
