The U.S. Department of the Interior promises it really does feel like fall

Though it may not feel like it in most of the United States, fall is officially here. According to Weather.com, half of the country is experiencing unusually high temperatures for late September, which means that it feels like exactly the opposite of the season to wrap yourself in a cozy sweater and take in all the beauty fall foliage has to offer.That said, certain parts of the country are experiencing their fall colors right on schedule. On Sunday, the U.S. Department of the Interior shared a few photos of Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska, which is currently bathed in beautiful gold, orange and red leaves.The Facebook post shared some additional information about how quickly fall's colors come and go, and even mentioned that snow is already taking over the landscape."Fall colors in Alaska are brilliant, but short lived. At Denali National Park and Preserve, the tundra and forests shine in deep reds and vibrant yellows. Already, winter’s blanket of white snow is beginning to cover the landscape and only the most resilient wildlife will remain active.
