Teacher spends 70 hours creating a classroom straight out of 'Harry Potter'
You really have to see it to believe it

Going is tough. One teacher thought he'd make things a little easier this year by turning his 7th and 8th grade classroom into a Hogwarts look-alike.
Kyle Hubler of Evergreen Middle School decorated over a 5-week period — and it took a total of 70 hours (that's almost 3 days!). Though he used some of the Harry Potter merchandise he had at home, the rest he paid for out-of-pocket.
The effort Hubler put into this magical makeover really shows — he transformed the classroom into something straight from the wizard world.
"Hogwarts 2017-18! I got to reveal the classroom to my students yesterday and they loved it! Seeing their faces light up made all the time and effort put into this totally worth it! We're going to have a fun year!" Hubler wrote in a shared more than 17,000 times. He included a slew of whimsical photos and a video tour of the decked-out space that would make Harry proud.
Predictably, his kids loved it.
"I heard audible gasps and saw jaws drop to the floor," he told . "They were scrambling around the room to inspect every little detail and were excitedly showing their peers what they discovered."
Take a look:
Growing up, Hubler said that he was a big fan of the Harry Potter books, and the lessons they taught him — "about acceptance, loyalty and integrity" — influence how he instructs his students today.
In the past, the series was an escape for him when he felt like he needed one, and that's how he wants those middle schoolers to view his classroom environment.
He told GoodHousekeeping.com, "If the students feel that they might need an escape from certain aspects of their life that might be causing them distress, I would like them to feel like coming to my class serves as a refuge where they can feel comfortable and accepted and optimistic."
We think he wins teacher of the year (already).
