Super Bowl champion Cooper DeJean to host charity softball game with Iowa Cubs

LITTLE LATER IN THIS NEWSCAST. FORMER IOWA HAWKEYE AND CURRENT PHILADELPHIA EAGLES STAR DEFENSIVE BACK COOPER DEJEAN WILL BE HOSTING A SOFTBALL GAME HERE IN DES MOINES, AND IT’S ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE. THE ODEBOLT NATIVE IS TEAMING UP WITH OCTANE SPORTS TO HOST AN ALL STAR CHARITY GAME. THE IOWA CUBS ANNOUNCED IT TODAY. THE JEAN WILL BE THE CAPTAIN OF ONE OF THE TEAMS, WHILE HIS FORMER TEAMMATE RYLIE MOSS WILL LEAD THE OTHER. ORGANIZERS SAY THERE’S GOING TO BE A MEMORABILIA AUCTION AS WELL. WE TRY TO MAKE THE BALLPARK THE GATHERING PLACE FOR THE BIG EVENTS IN THE COMMUNITY, WHETHER IT’S CONCERTS AND BASEBALL GAMES AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BEING IN THE HEART OF THE TRAIL SYSTEM, THERE’S WALKS AND EVENTS GOING AROUND THE BALLPARK ALL THE TIME, WHETHER IN THE PARKING LOT OR IN THE STADIUM.
