Everyone is talking about the cutest part of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer.

If you've been scrolling past thousands of social media posts about something called a "porg" and thought, "huh?" you're not alone. The new "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" trailer dropped on Monday night, and while there's a lot to process in it — Carrie Fisher's now-bittersweet appearance, Rey's powers, the return of Luke — the cute creatures have received more than their fair share of the conversation, especially since we only get a tiny glimpse of one in the trailer.Porgs were first spotted at the D23 expo in July, where a behind-the-scenes reel of the new "Star Wars" installment revealed one of the furry little guys to the audience. The BBC has described porgs as looking like "a cross between a baby penguin and a guinea pig, with an added fish's mouth and golf ball eyes." And earlier this year, Pablo Hidalgo from the Lucasfilm Story Group explained just what a porg is: "In many ways, they’re the Star Wars version of puffins. They build nests. They can fly. Their babies are called porglets." Porglets.Anyway, people love them:But the fuss over porgs has prompted some other fans to champion another creature that appeared in the trailer:Don't worry ice fox fans! There's room enough in the Star Wars universe for all creatures. If you want to see more porg, you'll have to wait a while — The Last Jedi doesn't come out until December 15. Or, you could always watch the porg yelling on a loop until then.
