THEY TOLD ME EARLIER IN THE DAY THEY WERE HAVING SOME SECURITY ISSUES WITH THEIR SYSTEMS, BUT WHEN WE GOT THERE, EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE GOOD AS IT WAS GOING EARLIER THAT DAY. WHEN I WENT TO PULL ON THE DOOR, THE DOOR WAS LOCKED, BUT THE OFFICE HOURS ON THE WINDOW DO SAY FROM 9 A.M. UNTIL 4 P.M. NOW, ONCE AGAIN, WE’RE GOING TO KEEP YOU ALL UPDATED. I SPOKE TO ONE PERSON AS THEY WERE COMING HERE. THEY TOLD ME FIRST THEY WENT TO CHASE BANK WHEN THEY ARRIVED AT CHASE BANK. NO ONE WAS THERE. THE BUILDING WAS CLOSED AND THEN SHE TOLD ME SHE CAME HERE WITH HER GRANDMOTHER TO THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE RIGHT HERE ON TERRY PARKWAY. AND ONCE AGAIN, THEY’RE CLOSED. NOW, WE DID CALL THE NUMBER. AND WHEN WE CALLED THE NUMBER, THEY DID HAVE A STATEMENT SAYING THAT THEY WEREN’T GOING TO BE OPEN TODAY BECAUSE OF THE CYBER OUTAGE ISSUES. Local Social Security offices across the country are closed to the public on Friday due to the global technology outage, according to the agency's website."Longer wait times on our national 800 number are expected. Some online services are unavailable at this time. We appreciate your patience while we work to restore services as quickly as possible," the agency said on its website.
