Snow expected Christmas Eve across Iowa

The latest forecast shows a 50-percent chance of snow on Christmas Eve day and 70-percent by evening across Iowa.
SNOW TIMING:
Mostly sunny conditions are expected until late afternoon -- then snow is possible.
The latest storm predictor forecast shows snow pushing into the western counties about noon and into central Iowa by about 2 p.m.
High temperatures will be 15 to 20 degrees with winds increasing to 10 to 15 mph with 25 mph gusts.
SNOW TOTALS:
Light snow is expected to continue through midnight -- a 70 percent chance.
Light snow accumulations are expected with 1 to 2 inches across parts of northern Iowa, National Weather Service forecasters said. Other parts of the state can expect even lighter accumulation.
Christmas Day expect mostly sunny conditions with warmer high temperatures in the upper 20s. A west wind of 10 to 15 mph is expected.
