Everyone's school has its own urban legends of ghosts and hauntings, like the ghost of a student who drowned in the gym pool is doomed to haunt the halls forever. They're almost never true, but this creepy video captured at a school in Ireland is making some people think twice about the veracity of school ghosts.
The clip, taken by a security camera in the hallway, was posted to Deerpark CBS's and is currently petrifying the internet. In it, you'll see a set of lockers violently shaken, notebooks thrown across the hall by no one, and a wet floor sign totally destroyed.
The clip was conveniently taken at 3:00 AM on the first of October, when no one was in the school. Now, you might be thinking that the principal is just trying to prank everyone for Halloween, but according to him, the video is real.
"If it’s a prank we don’t know how it was done. Motion sensors were set off at this time, that’s how it was caught," principal Aaron Wolfe told .
Apparently, this isn't the first time creepy things have happened at the school, which happens to be the oldest in the city at almost 200 years old.
"Our caretaker has worked in the school for over 30 years he recalls many stories of ‘paranormal activity’," Wolfe explained.
"For example on one occasion the school was hosting an exotic bird show, and the birds arrived the day before, because the organizers were worried that someone might break in and steal the birds, someone had to stay overnight. That person left the school in the middle of the night – they refused to stay any longer as they said that they heard ‘the last call’ being played on a trumpet – of course this could have just been the wind."
Some folks, however, are not that convinced that Deerpark CBS has a mischievous poltergeist in its midst.
So what's your take: haunting or hoax? Either way, it's pretty impressive!
