Rossen Reports: Big travel deals on flights, cruises and hotels
Hi. Yeah, a lot to get to. To save you some money. Let me first start with the latest CDC guidance on travel. The CDC is encouraging people not to travel right now if it's unnecessary, especially air travel. Since what we do in airports, we gather together. But many of you want to start booking trips now for the future. Call it a mental vacation. Just hitting that book button. Just hearing that that click sound makes you feel good. There's hope. I just heard about some great deals and tips, and I'm going to run you through all of it. From flights to cruises, toe hotels. Let's start with the flights. Remember before the pandemic Airlines would jack up prices on last minute tickets. But guess what? It's totally opposite. Now you just flip it around. You can find the cheapest airfares just 7 to 10 days before departure. Hate hopping from site to site to find the best price. You're like, Oh, do I go here? Do I go here? Do I go here? Don't worry about that. Let a nap work for you. Let me bring this one up. Here it is. It's called Hopper. Let's say I want to go from I don't know. Pittsburgh to Orlando. See all these green squares over here? That means there are flights for less than $150. And look at that. Sheep flights all these green squares for March, April and May. But I don't have to buy right now. You can set the dates and Hopper will scan the web. Then the APP will actually notify you when it sees the best deal. How cool is that? Using this app can save you 40%. By the way, most airlines air still letting you change and cancel flights without penalty. All right, now let's talk about cruises. Bring up a cruise ship. They're gonna be coming back to the U. S. They're planning on it, and most US Cruise line said they want to start sailing again in May. That's not long from now. The CDC has given them the rules of what they need to do before they allow passengers back. And if you're thinking May seems pretty close, is that doable? For what it's worth, Canada has already said, you know, our friends in the North Canada? Yes. Play the music already said cruises can't sail until February of 2022. Let that be an indication for what could happen here. So there are deals to be had, though. Right now, our experts say this four night Disney cruise in the Bahamas, it would normally cost you $7000. Cross that out. Now, look what it's gonna cost you. $2100. Big savings on Carnival. This four night Caribbean cruise normally runs around $1000. What will it cost you now? Cross it out. Just $169 per person. If the cruise is canceled because of Kobe, they should let you just use that credit toward another one. Huge tips from the experts here. If you see a deal, you like, book it now. But hold off on booking everything else like the flights and the little shuttle that takes you to the court. That way, if the cruise is canceled, you don't have to worry about canceling everything else. And finally, we can't forget about hotels. I feel like I spent half my life in these hotel rooms. The experts tell me major hotel groups are doing flash sales almost daily now and they're seriously discounting rooms. You can get anywhere from 20 to 40% off if you book a stay before the end of the year again, don't want to do the work yourself. I get it. There's an app called Trev ago. Maybe you've seen the TV commercials here It is right here. Trev ago. It scans hotels and booking websites, finding you the best deal on the whole Web. Let's say I want to go toe Sacramento in June, right? The best deals pop up. It just pops up like that. I can't even set filters on it, too, not just by price, but by location, by rating, even how many stars the hotel has also big tip here. This one's personal. This one's personal for me because it's happened to me. Call the hotels first to make sure the amenities air open, I found some of them will let your book normal. Don't tell your stuff is closed. Then you show up. You won't want nothing's open, the pool's closed gym is closed, restaurants are closed and you're paying the same price. So whatever you book, check the cancelation policies first. Checking with the hotel first and Of course, check CDC guidance whenever you're about to travel to make sure it's safe. Oh, that's a lot. Hope it helps. We have it all at Ross and reports dot com back to you.
