The Duke of Edinburgh was reportedly involved in a car accident Thursday near Sandringham, in England, in which his vehicle, a Range Rover, overturned. He and the queen are still in the area following the Christmas holiday.
Local radio station , sharing photos in which the damage appears to be quite severe. According to the publication, the accident took place on the A149 and an ambulance was called for minor injuries.
Royal reporter Victoria Arbiter also posted about the accident on Twitter, "Breaking: Per Buckingham Palace the Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a car accident close to Sandringham today. I'm glad to say he was not injured. Local police attended the scene."
Reporter Rhiannon Mills also posted a quote from Buckingham Palace: “The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle this afternoon. The Duke was not injured. The accident took place close to the Sandringham Estate.”
