Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially announced their engagement Monday morning after over a year of dating. The royal popped the question earlier this month and the wedding is set to take place in Spring 2018, according to a statement from the royal family.
Hours after breaking the news, the couple hosted a photo call at Kensington Palace. The location of the photo shoot is significant, as it took place in the palace's Sunken Garden, a memorial to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.
When asked how they were feeling, Harry said "thrilled." Markle smiled along. The couple wouldn't divulge in the proposal ("That will come later," Harry said), but Markle hinted that it was romantic.
The actress wore a white coat dress and nude pumps for the occasion, and kept he hair in loose curls. Though she and the prince stood across the pond from photographers, the still flaunted her ring from afar.
