Details of the funeral and memorial services have been released for former President George H.W. Bush, who died late Friday at the age of 94.Bush will lie in state in the United States Capitol Rotunda, according to Senate and House leaders.A bicameral arrival ceremony will be held for Bush at 5 p.m. Monday.The public can pay their respects from 7:30 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Wednesday.The White House said President Donald Trump has designated Wednesday, Dec. 5, as a national day of mourning and signed an executive order for federal offices to be closed. Trump also sent Air Force One to Texas to transport Bush's casket to Washington.Family and friends will gather at the National Cathedral in Washington for a memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The White House said Trump and first lady Melania Trump will attend.A second memorial service for Bush will be held Thursday at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston, where the former president lived.The former president will also lie in repose there from 7:45 p.m. ET Wednesday until 7 a.m. ET Thursday. A second memorial service for Bush will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. ET Thursday.Bush will then be taken by a motorcade procession to College Station, Texas, where he will be laid to rest at 5:15 p.m. Thursday on the grounds of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M University, the university said.He will be buried in his family plot behind the library next to his wife, Barbara, who died earlier this year, and daughter, Robin, who died in 1953 when she was 3 years old.In lieu of flowers, the Bush family has requested that donations be made to the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. To honor the former president, the international nonprofit Points of Light, founded by Bush, invited the public to celebrate Bush by giving a day of service in his memory.See the full schedule here.
