Well, it is gonna be May

The greatest boy band of all time (or second-greatest if you were a Backstreet Boys fan), reunited after nearly 16 years to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, which also happens to be "It's Gonna Be May" Day, so the timing could not be more perfect.Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass were all present at the ceremony on Los Angeles' Hollywood Boulevard, where former "TRL" host Carson Daily and Ellen DeGeneres presented the group with the honor.“This is so surreal,” Timberlake said at the podium. “You guys are the best fans in the world. First off, I’m gonna sound like a broken record, but for all of you who came from far and wide to be here to share this moment with us, thank you so much … . These four guys mean so much to me and we’re really a family.”On Twitter, Bass shared a selfie he took with his former band members, calling them "brothers" and thanking them and then fans for "this amazing gift.""Well that was fun!!!! This was the calm before the storm," he said. "Thank you to my four brothers for this amazing gift. Also, @theellenshow and @carsondaly for your beautiful speeches! And the fans! Holy! Seeing all your faces has made me so happy. Love to all!"*NSYNC rose to fame after the success of their 1998 single, "Tearin' Up My Heart," and sold millions of copies of their chart-topping hits, including "I Want You Back," "Bye Bye Bye," "This I Promise You," "Girlfriend," "Pop" and "It's Gonna Be Me."In the days leading up to the ceremony, Chasez spoke with Entertainment Tonight and said that although *NSYNC was coming together for the ceremony, an actual reunion tour was not in the works — yet. "There are no talks about a reunion tour right now," he said.Check out 20 moments in pop culture reaching a major milestone this year in the related video above.
