new tonight video of the attack on a Southwest flight attendant Just moments before that plane from Sacramento was about to land in SAn Diego. We're learning new details tonight about what led up to a passenger knocking out of flight attendants teeth. Kayseri three's walter McCalla talked to two passengers who were sitting just feet away from where this event happened. One of them believes the flight attendant is partially to blame. It's the viral encounter of a Southwest airline passenger physically attacking a flight attendant. It landed one woman in jail and left. The flight attendant with two missing teeth. Michelle manner was sitting two rows in front. She heard the commotion and pulled out her cell phone to record the altercation with three women in the back row. The flight attendant had told them to put their masks on over their entire face. They ended up in a screaming match and it ended with the flight attendant stating that she was going to go call the captain. Just a few minutes later, witnesses say she was back this time leaning across two of the women, reaching toward the third against the window, saying, put your face mask on. That gal who punched the flight attendant had asked said get off me, get your hands off me, quit leaning on me. She had made like three requests for her to back up and she didn't. That is when you see the woman identified as Viviana Kenyans, jump out of her seat and attack Sacramento's Tara arrive, watched the whole thing from a couple of rows further up, their voices are getting louder and louder. And then when I heard don't touch me, then I start, you know about to start the video and she just stood up and stop punching her. He says the plane was just about to land, the flight attendant asking her to put the tray up and we'll see belt and somehow she didn't want to follow. So you know, flat and then forced the issue. He said, it all happened so fast, luckily someone sitting nearby stepped in right away, clap tender in the back, bleeding everywhere. Looking at us from the hallway. He was like a horror movie to me. Michelle says, there's no excuse for every putting your hands on a flight attendant, but she believes this one wasn't treating the passengers well. The flight attendant had given me pretzels and as I was putting one in my mouth, she was walking by and she said, put your mask back on. New video and descriptions from witnesses are shedding light on what led up to a Southwest Airlines passenger physically attacking a flight attendant on a plane headed from Sacramento to San Diego last week.The attack landed the passenger in jail and left the flight attendant with two missing teeth. Passenger Michelle Manner was seated two rows from the back. She heard the commotion and pulled out her cellphone to record the altercation with three women in the back row. "The flight attendant had told them to put their mask on over their entire face, not just near the nose," Manner said. "They ended up in a screaming match," she added. "It ended with the flight attendant saying that she was going to go call the captain." The flight attendant walked away, but just a few minutes later, witnesses said she was back talking to the back row. This time, she was leaning across two of the women. Manner said she reached toward the third woman seated against the window and told her to put her face mask on."The gal who punched the flight attendant had asked, had said, 'Get off me,' 'get your hands off me,' 'quit leaning on me,'" Manner explained. "She had made like three requests for her to back up and she didn't." The woman, identified as Vyvianna Quinonez, is seen on video jumping out of her seat and attacking the flight attendant.Taro Arai, of Sacramento, watched the whole thing from a couple rows farther up. "Their voices were getting louder and louder, and then when I heard, 'Don't touch me,' I was about to start the video, and then she just stood up and started punching her," Arai said. He explained that the plane was just about to land in San Diego. "The flight attendant asking her to put the tray up, wear seat belt. Somehow, she didn't want to follow, so the flight attendant forced the issue," Arai said. He recalls everything happening so fast that before he could do anything, a man sitting near the women stepped in. "He said, 'You can't do that! Don't do that! You can't do that,'" Arai said. "The flight attendant in the back bleeding everywhere, looking at us from the hallway. It was like a horror movie to me." Manner said there's no excuse for ever putting your hands on a flight attendant, but she believes this particular employee wasn't treating the passengers well. She said before the attack, she had already decided she was going to file a complaint with the airline. "The flight attendant had given me pretzels, and as I was putting one in my mouth she was walking by and said, 'Put your mask back on,'" Manner recalled.
