"This group saved wisely and they now find themselves with both means and free time. Travel has always been a retirement goal, but we're seeing that traveling with their family is of key importance."Specifically, the company says most family trips are being booked in these ten popular places:ItalyMexicoHawaiiOrlando, FLEnglandCosta RicaSouth AfricaTurks and CaicosDominican RepublicAustraliaMeanwhile, Iceland, Africa, Antarctica, and Cuba top the list of unconventional family destinations. "For some, it's about a deeper personal connection, maybe traveling to countries that reflect the family's heritage," Belles says. "And then of course, there's also the opportunity to decamp and just spend time all together, away from hectic schedules and technology. Whatever the reason, multigenerational travel lets grandparents offer their kids and grandkids a leg up, both in life and in their future profession, based on their experience of the world."Prefer to stay stateside? In a recent survey, Airbnb also flagged multigenerational travel as an emerging trend, finding that 34 percent of family vacations now include grandparents.
