The U.S. Social Security Administration released a given to babies in each state in the country last year. The data are based on applications made last year for Social Security cards.
Among the most popular girl names were Emma and Ava -- both of which were the top name in several states in the country. For little boys, parents favored traditional names like William, Elijah and Benjamin.
Some names were unique to singular states and didn't follow national trends. The name Charlotte was the top name for baby girls in New Hampshire, and Wyoming was the only state to favor the name Wyatt for boys.
