We doubt that Laleh Mohmedi scolds her son, Jacob, often for playing with his food. Her Instagram account, called , has "Making healthy food fun!" in the description. Her feed is filled with cartoon characters and kid favorites — all faces made by food.
There's Snow White, aka spelt pancakes with fruit. Pikachu is made with veal and spinach ravioli with Napoli sauce and broccoli. Patrick Star has a smoked salmon sushi body with avocado swim trunks.
Laleh creates characters that older kids would appreciate, too. In February, she created Will Smith, Fresh Prince era — made of mashed potato, tea, wild rice, whole meal wrap, radish and melon.
For the 10-year anniversary of Heath Ledger's death, Laleh made an edible tribute to the Joker made of mashed potato, cream cheese, purple cabbage, sweet potato noodles and sesame seeds.
She's even made Ellen DeGeneres, complete with blonde pasta hair.
Now, along with the Instagram account, Laleh and Jacob have their very own . In the Jacob's Food Diaries videos, Jacob and his mom open some of the coolest new toys, and then Laleh makes a meal inspired by the toys. In , Jacob opens "Incredibles 2" toys, and then Laleh creates one of the characters.
The YouTube channel also includes a few tutorials for how to make characters out of food.
