Missing dog found after more than 2 weeks away from Massachusetts home

Missing dog found after more than 2 weeks away from Massachusetts home
DOG’S BARK THAT HE’S ALIVE. HIS BARKING USED TO DRIVE ME CRAZY, AND IF HE DIDN’T BARK, WE WOULD NEVER HAVE FOUND HIM. HIS BARKING DID SAVE HIS LIFE. SEVEN YEAR OLD HENRY FINALLY SAFE BACK WITH HIS OWNER AFTER 16 DAYS MISSING AND ON THE RUN. YOU DON’T ALWAYS GET HAPPY ENDINGS. I DIDN’T THINK WE WERE GOING TO. I WASN’T GOING TO GIVE UP AT THIS POINT. 16 DAYS DESPERATE FOR HELP, STEPHANIE REACHED OUT TO MASS MISSING DOGS, WHICH POSTED FLIERS THAT CAUGHT KEVIN BOWEN’S ATTENTION. THIS IS THE START OF THE TRAIL WHERE HENRY WAS EVENTUALLY FOUND. A FEW NIGHTS AGO, KEVIN HEARD BARKING COMING FROM THE BOG BEHIND HIS DUXBURY HOME. LUCKILY FOR HENRY THE DOG, HE KEPT ON BARKING SO HE PROVIDED ME A BEELINE. HE WAS IN AN AREA OF TALL REEDS, SWAMPY AREA AND WAS SURROUNDED BY A CANAL. THE LIGHTS OFF THE EYES LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AND I’M LIKE, MY HEART WAS PUMPING. AND SURE ENOUGH, THERE WAS HENRY DEEP IN MUD, SKINNY. BUT OTHERWISE. OKAY. KEVIN NAVIGATES STEPHANIE THERE THE NEXT MORNING AND RESCUED HENRY OUT OF THE MUCK. SHE WAS CRYING AND I WAS CRYING AND SHE WAS SO, SO, SO RELIEVED. MOST PEOPLE WOULDN’T TREAD THROUGH A FOREST AND A BOG IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT JUST BECAUSE OF SOME BARKING. BUT HE HAD A VESTED INTEREST TO YEARS AGO. MASS MISSING DOGS HELPED HIM FIND HIS DOG, HARPER. KNOWING WHAT WE WENT THROUGH, IT WAS GLAD TO PAY IT FORWARD FOR ANOTHER FAMILY. KEVIN’S OUR HERO. KIND OF REAFFIRMS YOUR FAITH, YOU KNOW, DOG LOVERS GIVING HER A HAPPY REUNION WITH HER WAYWARD PUP. HE MIGHT HAVE LEARNED HIS LESSON. OH, GOD, I HOPE SO.
