Mikey Madison wins Best Actress at the 97th Academy Awards

Mikey Madison has won her first Oscar for Best Actress at the 97th Academy Awards for her role as Anora in “Anora.”Madison is the heart and soul of “Anora.” She is able to play such a complex character and have the whole movie be centered around her. Anora is a woman who is afraid to let her guard down and when she finally does, she believes she has gotten her Cinderella story, that is until it comes crashing down on her. The entire time her Cinderella story unravels, Madison portrays Anora keeping her head held high until the final moments when she realizes all that she lost.The win for Madison comes as a surprise as Demi Moore had won most of the precursor awards for her performance in “The Substance.”This is Madison’s first Oscar nomination and first win.
