Mama June reveals how she plans to maintain her dramatic weight loss

On the WE TV series From Not to Hot, Mama June Shannon of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fame shows , ending up at a size 4. The reality star lost weight through gastric sleeve surgery and then had another procedure to remove the excess skin left behind. And she's opening up to in a new interview about how she plans to maintain her new weight.
Mama June spent around $75,000 on the gastric sleeve surgery, the skin surgery (which removed 9 pounds of skin), and a breast augmentation. And now she insists she's changed her lifestyle for good. "I can promise you I'm never going back to that size," she told People. "I'm happy where I'm at."
She is crediting better food choices and smaller portions with keeping her weight down. Some of the portion size choice is involuntary because she said her surgery mandates she eat less. "I'm not going to lie to you: I have thrown up, because you can't over eat with the gastric sleeve," she told the magazine. "That's not a thing that I recommend to somebody. You realize what you can and can't do, and when you do it that one time, you don't do it again."
Mama June also worked with trainer Natasha Fett, who says she had to constantly hold June accountable by monitoring her fitness-tracking app. "She would tell me, 'I went running at 2 in the morning,'" Fett told the . "I'm like, 'No June. No you didn't work out at two in the morning." On the show, June tried to trick her app by going on a long drive but Fett said that happened more than once.
But now, Fett says June has changed her tune and enjoys eating healthy. She's also happier overall now that her weight-loss goal has been met. And June says she hopes her daughters, including Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, will adopt her new lifestyle too, but she says she won't force it on them.
