IOWA’S NEWS LEADER. BO. THANK YOU. THE IOWA AG’S OFFICE IS JOINING THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE MADISON COUNTY TREASURER. AMANDA DEVOS WAS ARRESTED LAST WEEK FOR FRAUD, THEFT, AND MISCONDUCT IN OFFICE. INVESTIGATORS SAY SHE FALSIFIED DOCUMENTS SAYING SHE PAID FOR HER VEHICLE REGISTRATION. THE MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF TELLS US THERE ARE MORE CHARGES PENDING IN THIS. HE ALSO SAYS MULTIPLE ENTITIES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY ARE REPORTING OVERPAYMENT OR NONPAYMENT OF TAX REVENUE THROUGH THE TREASURER’S OFFICE. THOSE ERRORS ARE NOT RELATED TO THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, BUT THE AG IS EXPECTED TO ASK THE STATE AUDITOR TO DO A

Investigators say she falsified documents saying she paid for her vehicle registration.The Madison County Sheriff's Office tells us there are more charges pending. Multiple entities throughout the county are reporting overpayment or nonpayment of tax revenue through the treasurers office.
