A large ice disk has formed in a Maine river, and it's slowly rotating, city officials said Monday.Photos and video taken from above show the disk slowly rotating counter-clockwise in the Presumpscot River in Westbrook.Birds are using the disk as a resting area in the middle of the river, officials said.The disk formed near the Saccarappa Falls.Ice disks form when slow-moving currents freeze.
WESTBROOK, Maine —
A large ice disk has formed in a Maine river, and it's slowly rotating, city officials said Monday.
