Editorial: Get to know presidential candidates with Coffee with the Candidates series
This is *** KC editorial when presidential candidates campaign in Iowa. One of the expectations is that they will intentionally visit as many of Iowa's communities as possible. In fact, the standard they're often held to is one established by Senator Chuck Grassley, visiting all 99 counties. The message that inevitably sends is every voter matters and it's values like this that make the Iowa caucuses special and it's one KCC intends to focus on with our newly launched series Coffee with the candidates. Coffee with the candidates launched this week with *** conversation with Asa Hutchinson. We have invitations out to the rest of the top 10 polling Republican candidates for president. Each installment will be shot on location in *** different central Iowa small town. We met Hutchinson in Ossa. These conversations will include *** one on one interview with chief political reporter, Amanda Rooker followed by *** conversation with undecided Republican voters who will have the chance to have their questions answered directly by the candidate. We encourage every one of these candidates to participate in these revealing conversations and by having these conversations in Iowa's small towns, we ensure the issues that matter to voters outside large metro areas, get the attention of the candidates for the nation's highest office. All of these will be broadcast on KCC I available on KCC dot com and through our streaming app, very local. We help you check them out after all conversations like these are exactly why the Iowa caucuses play such an important role in the presidential campaign. Welcomes responsible replies to this editorial.
