you have some information, as you've probably been hearing the last couple of minutes here, we had quite the shake here in Indianola and it seems to be even more so south of here. Mike jeffries had plenty to talk about this morning on his radio program. The station manager of Indianola was on the air when the walls around him started shaking, didn't start knocking things over. But we did get *** call from *** gallon Touro or just south of Touro that said that her house began to shake and she fell down on the floor and things began to fall off of the walls. So apparently it seemed to be *** little bit stronger down there. Immediately their switchboard lit up with callers who also felt the blast and he said it felt like an explosion that rattled his windows. It quickly became Clear that whatever it was, *** lot of people heard it and felt it. Two calls came in from Truro West Des Moines, Indianola, Urbandale, Medora. The vibrations rumbled for 30 miles. We never been in an earthquake, so I don't know if that feels like, but I just thought maybe we'd been hitting the side of the building by *** truck. It just felt like that roof lifted *** little. It was so strong and I said to Candy, what is that? What was that? I don't know, mom kind of quiver, the building *** little bit and he thought maybe the wood stove went boom and there was none of that. And we went outside and I thought maybe there's an explosion somewhere around. That's what it sounded like. I'll have to call the insurance company see if I'm covered in case the building falls in later. What was it that shook the countryside on this? Otherwise serene saturday. Could it have been sonic booms from jets overhead authorities just don't know that. We tried calling the airports, the gas companies checked with the local dynamite deposits and stuff like that. Nothing has been found, no evidence has been found of anything at this time Iowa Air Guard *** sevens are subsonic planes and don't produce sonic booms. There was some speculation that several F four phantoms may have been over Iowa today and produce *** noise, but no one at the des Moines airport could confirm that privately. The officials we talked to today are pretty much convinced that it was *** sonic boom which shook the earth. But officially the case of the big boom remains an unsolved mystery.
