The bells of ST. Patrick's rang across the countryside in 1979. The October Day Pope John Paul II came to visit this small rural Catholic church once in *** lifetime event for 200 local parishioners. Those same bells rang again in rural coming for the 10th anniversary of the Pope's visit. The Holy Father may be gone, but *** bronze bust remains blessed by Bishop William Bullock. In this mass, he led many of the same churchgoers who saw the pope 10 years ago. But there's always that excitement from nine year old altar boy bobby Mulvihill was the first church member the pope spoke with *** decade later, he remembers because he walked in and he hugged me and then kind of went down the aisle and shook hands with everybody. I was pretty impressed with his friendliness this week, ST Patrick's will host pilgrims, those people from far and near who come to visit during the anniversary.
