Thursday night, Casey DeSantis took the stage with Reynolds to reach out to her base, bringing the campaign she started in Florida, Mamas for DeSantis, to Iowa.In her first solo trip to Iowa campaigning for her husband, Florida governor and presidential candidate, Ron DeSantis, the first lady of Florida kicked off her Mamas for DeSantis campaign. She says it's similar to the one she organized during her husband's bid for re-election as governor in the Sunshine State."We are going to launch the largest mobilization of moms and grandmothers across the United States of America to protect the innocence of our children and to protect the rights of parents," Casey DeSantis said to the crowd, gathered at The Simpson Barn in Johnston.DeSantis received the biggest reaction from the crowd when she brought up parental rights and education, something Reynolds' campaigned heavily on in her bid for re-election in last year."These policies of standing up for these families, standing up for moms and dads and standing up for the innocence of our children, it resonates across parties. He was able to win 20% of Independents and 30% of Hispanics," she said.With about seven months to go in the battle for the Iowa Republican's influential caucus, those in attendance say they liked what they heard, but are still undecided."It's still an open race and he did good things, so I wouldn't be opposed to voting for him if it came to it," said Cahlen Brancheau of Adel. "We've got a lot of time left and a lot can happen in the next few months, so we're all still weighing our options and want to learn what's best and who is the best candidate out there," Jenn Turner, a member of Moms for Liberty said.
