Des Moines man looking to complete his 30th Boston Marathon Monday

Des Moines man looking to complete his 30th Boston Marathon Monday
It was the night before the Boston Marathon. I can't believe this day is actually tomorrow, and John Taylor is getting ready to run his 30th 1, and if he finishes the race, he will have completed 28 of those Boston Marathons in *** row. That string is pretty important to me. That string earned Taylor *** spot in the quarter century Club, *** group of runners who have run 25 Boston Marathons consecutively. Race, but you feel like you're racing with everybody, not against everybody. Taylor landed in Boston Thursday and caught the attention of our sister station there. Who would have ever thought we'd be here 30 some years later? He picked up his bid and I just, in my race number, I got this bib. That is to be worn on my back, and I was like, oh my God, how cool is that? And has been staying with his brother in *** suburb of the city ahead of the big day. Taylor says having support makes all the difference. Tomorrow, I think there's 5 locations where I have people waiting just for me. Monday's race will be Taylor's first since having hip replacement surgery in October. He's been using an anti-gravity treadmill to train. Well, I've been doing *** lot of rehab, and so my training program is pretty much going to be alternating, running *** mile and walking *** mile. Taylor says his goal this year is to just finish by the cutoff time of 5:30 p.m. He hopes he can motivate people to do hard things. You can always quit, but Quitting doesn't get you anywhere, and it just inspires you more.
