Dallas County couple charged with child endangerment enter guilty pleas
A Dallas County couple charged with child endangerment have entered guilty pleas.
Jacob Mitchell and Ariel Paul were both scheduled to be back in court on Thursday.
Both were facing six counts of child endangerment.
Booneville authorities say last October, they found six children in the couple's care living in filthy conditions. The children ranged in age from 11 months to 13 years.
Mitchell entered a plea deal with Dallas County. He pleaded guilty to three counts of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. The state is dismissing the other three counts. Each count comes with a maximum two-year prison sentence. His sentencing date is not known yet.
Paul entered a guilty plea to three counts of child endangerment and was sentenced. She will be on probation for two years.
