Iowa weather: Severe storms return today

Iowa weather: Severe storms return today
THIS IS A vlog STORM TEAM 8 WEATHER UPDATE. CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JASON SYDEJKO HERE WITH A SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE. ON THIS WEATHER ALERT DAY, WE HAVE A TORNADO WATCH NOW THAT HAS BEEN ISSUED WEST OF THE METRO. DOES NOT INCLUDE POLK COUNTY. DOES INCLUDE AREAS LIKE OSCEOLA CRESTON UPWARDS TOWARDS CARROLL ATLANTIC LAKE PANORAMA INCLUDED IN THIS AS WELL GOES THROUGH 9 P.M. AND YOU CAN SEE WE’VE ALREADY GOT CONFIRMED TORNADOES ON THE GROUND JUST TO THE NORTH OF OMAHA. AND REALLY, THAT’S ASSOCIATED WITH A LINE OF STORMS THAT HAS HAD THE CAPABILITY OF PRODUCING TORNADOES SO MUCH OF TORNADO WARNINGS EDGED UP ALONG THAT WESTERN EDGE OF THE STATE. THERE. SO THIS LINE IS GOING TO BE MAKING ITS WAY IN. AND YOU CAN SEE AHEAD OF THAT THAT CLEARING CONTINUES. THAT IS JUICING UP THE ATMOSPHERE. IT’S GOING TO HELP TO KEEP THESE STORMS STRONG AS THEY RACE THEIR WAY EAST NORTHEAST. SO IN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO, WE’RE GOING TO LIKELY HAVE TO HOP ON FOR COVERAGE AS WE’VE GOT THOSE STORMS WORKING THEIR WAY THROUGH. BUT YOU CAN SEE RIGHT NOW ACROSS THE STATE, WE’VE GOT A FEW SHOWERS UP OFF TO THE NORTHEAST, BUT THAT IS ABOUT IT. AND AS WE TRACK THIS OUT, YOU CAN SEE THAT LINE IS GOING TO CONTINUE. AND ONE THING TO NOTE, YOU CAN SEE HOW THESE STORMS STAY INDIVIDUALIZED. THAT IS GOING TO CONTINUE WITH THE LARGE HAIL THREAT. AND THAT MEANS THE TORNADO THREAT WILL CONTINUE AS WELL AS THESE RACE THEIR WAY TO THE EAST. AS WE WORK OUR WAY INTO THE EVENING, THOUGH, THOSE WILL EVENTUALLY WEAKEN SOME COULD STILL SEE SOME EMBEDDED AREAS OF ROTATION WITHIN THIS THAT COULD LEAD TO EVEN SOME WEAKER SPIN UP TORNADO. BUT THIS IS ALL OUT OF OUR HAIR AS WE HEAD IN TOWARDS SATURDAY EARLY IN THE MORNING. AND OF COURSE WE’VE GOT MORE CHANCES FOR SEVERE WEATHER ON SATURDAY. BUT KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE SKIES TODAY. MAKE SURE YOU GOT THAT vlog APP IN MULTIPLE WA
