David Montgomery led Iowa State on the ground that day with 52 rushing yards, while Kyle Kempt (314 passing yards) hooked up with Allen Lazard and Hakeem Butler for a pair of touchdowns. Joel Lanning added a score on the ground to go along with four tackles at linebacker.
Lazard, who finished with game-highs of 10 catches, 142 yards and a go-ahead touchdown, was named the game's MVP.
