Another 2-0 week helped push Iowa State up in the latest AP Top 25 poll, further setting the stage for an already huge Monday night matchup at fellow Big 12 co-leader Houston. The Cyclones (20-5, 9-3 in Big 12) jumped from No. 10 last week to No. 6 in Monday's new poll. That's the highest Iowa State has been ranked in the weekly AP Top 25 since the week of Dec. 14, 2015, when Georges Niang's Cyclones were No. 5.Several of the nine teams above Iowa State in last week's poll lost, helping Iowa State rise in the poll with its pair of wins.No. 4 Marquette lost 81-53 at No. 1 UConnNo. 6 Kansas lost 79-50 at Texas Tech No. 7 North Carolina lost 86-79 at Syracuse Iowa State plays at No. 2 Houston at 8 p.m. Monday night on ESPN.
