PANTRY. WHETHER YOU LIVE IN URBANDALE OR NOT. AND IF YOU ARE HEADING OUT TO GROCERY SHOP THIS MORNING, YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO PACK THE UMBRELLA, THE PONCHO. BUT THINGS ARE GOING TO GET BETTER. IF YOU’RE LATER. TYPE PERSON. EXACTLY. YEAH. YEAH, EXACTLY. WE’RE GOING TO BE DRYING THINGS OUT. THAT’S A NICE THING. THE BAD THING. THE WINDS ARE REALLY GOING TO BLOW DRYER DRYING US OUT. EXACTLY. THAT DOES DRY THINGS OUT THOUGH. SO THAT’S THE ONE SILVER LINING HERE. WE NEED TO REALLY WRAP UP ALL THIS MOISTURE A LOT OF IT. SOME PLACES A LITTLE TOO MUCH. SATELLITE RADAR HOWEVER SHOWING THOSE SHOWERS NOW EAST OF I-35, SOME ISOLATED STORMS TO THE SOUTH AND EAST. BUT WE’RE TALKING ABOUT THE STRONGER STORMS. PRACTICALLY A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM AROUND KANSAS CITY ALL THE WAY DOWN. STILL TOWARDS THE TEXAS OKLAHOMA BORDER. AND THERE’S THAT TORNADO WATCH STILL IN EFFECT, THAT DIRECTION IS ALL AHEAD OF A VERY, VERY ACTIVE DAY. WE’RE SEEING THE LEVEL THREE FOUR. AND YES, THAT’S THE FIVE OUT OF FIVE CHANCE FOR SEVERE WEATHER. WE’RE EXPECTING A VERY ACTIVE DAY STRETCHING FROM AROUND CHICAGO, DETROIT DOWN TOWARDS DALLAS. SOME OTHER PLACES, LOUISVILLE, LITTLE ROCK, EVEN GOING TO BE LOOKING AT COLUMBUS, OHIO, INDIANAPOLIS. THOSE ARE JUST SOME OF THE AREAS THAT ARE GOING TO BE DEALING WITH SOME VERY STRONG SYSTEMS IN THIS AREA. WE’RE EVEN GOING TO BE LOOKING AT SOME VERY HIGH TORNADO THREAT AND EVEN A CAPABLE CAPABILITIES OF PRODUCING VERY STRONG EF3 OR GREATER TORNADOES. AGAIN, THAT’S THAT DIRECTION. NOT HERE. WE’RE NOT GOING TO SEE THAT. IN FACT, THIS IS A VERY GENEROUS TWO OUT OF FIVE THREAT FOR EASTERN IOWA. THIS IS REALLY PUSHING OUT TO THE EAST NOW. AND NOTICE NOT MUCH MORE REALLY DEVELOPS. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR SOME ISOLATED STORM ACTIVITY FOR LATER ON THIS AFTERNOON EAST OF I-35, BUT ALONG I-35 HERE IN THE METRO AND THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE STATE, WE’RE GOING TO BE DRY AND WE’RE GOING TO BE AS FAR AS THIS MORNING, RAIN WRAPPING UP. WE’RE NOT GOING TO SEE ANY OF THAT RETURN. HOWEVER, THE WINDS ARE RAMPING UP FROM NOON TO THREE. WE’RE GOING TO SEE THOSE 45 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS POTENTIALS RETURN FROM THE SOUTHWEST FOR THE AFTERNOON. THAT’S WHERE THE STRONGEST WIND DIRECTIONS WILL BE. AND THEN AS WE GET INTO AROUND 7:00, THAT’S WHEN THEY START TO DWINDLE DOWN. STILL WINDY OVERNIGHT, BUT THEY WILL CALM DOWN, SETTING UP FOR A VERY NICE THURSDAY. A MIXTURE OF SUN AND CLOUDS. THEN AS WE GET INTO THE REST OF THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY, CLOUDS MOVE BACK IN, SETTING UP FOR MORE RAIN CHANCES, MAINLY FRIDAY. LATER IN THE DAY. FRIDAY NIGHT GOING INTO SATURDAY MORNING. SO THAT’S THE NEXT ROUND OF RAINFALL. NO STORMS, NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THAT. NOT GOING TO SEE ANY LIGHTNING AS WE GO INTO THE END OF THIS WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND. BUT AS WE DRY OUT FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND, GOING INTO NEXT WEEK, WE’RE GOING TO BE COOLING DOWN
