On Thursday, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a plan to ban mail-in caucuses into law. Iowans will now be required to be physically present in order to participate in the caucuses.The law will prevent Iowa Democrats from using a mail-in system, which they had hoped to implement as part of their new caucus structure. Republicans say the plan is necessary to save Iowa's first-in-the-nation status, because a mail-in system would allow New Hampshire to jump ahead of Iowa in the presidential nomination calendar.

On Thursday, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a plan to ban mail-in caucuses into law.
