The Iowa Department of Public Health on Monday reported 4,212 new coronavirus cases and three additional deaths. As of 10 a.m. Monday, the state reported 156,816 total COVID-19 cases, 101,038 total recoveries and 1,845 total deaths since the pandemic began. The health department reported 152,604 total positive cases and 1,842 total deaths 24 hours earlier.State data shows 1,040,914 Iowans have been tested for the virus. The health department received 10,700 lab test results in the previous day, with 2,952 positive results. Iowa now reports a statewide 14-day positivity rate of 20.1%.IDPH reports 82 of Iowa’s 99 counties report a positivity rate greater than 15% over the last 14 days, up from 81 the previous day. Public schools in those counties can apply for a waiver to provide 100% remote learning. There are 48 counties reporting a positivity rate greater than 20%.
