NOT CONSIDERED SERIOUS RIGHT NOW. AN UNTHINKABLE TRAGEDY IN THE TOWN OF ELDORA. A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL IS DEAD AND A 12 YEAR OLD BOY IS NOW IN CUSTODY. vlog BEAU BOWMAN IS IN ELDORA TONIGHT WITH WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THIS INVESTIGATION. IOWA DCI TELLS US POLICE WERE CALLED HERE TO 12TH STREET FOR A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO WAS SHOT. WHEN THEY GOT HERE, THEY FOUND HER DEAD. A 12 YEAR OLD BOY IS IN CUSTODY AFTER POLICE DISCOVERED THE TEENAGE GIRL’S BODY AROUND 530 SUNDAY NIGHT AT ONE OF THESE HOUSES ON 12TH STREET IN ELDORA. LAW ENFORCEMENT ISN’T RELEASING MUCH MORE INFORMATION BECAUSE BOTH OF THEM ARE JUVENILES. I THOUGHT, OH MY GOODNESS, SO YOUNG AND WHY WOULD A CHILD HAVE A GUN? THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE NEARBY SAY IT WAS HEARTBREAKING TO HEAR ABOUT MONDAY MORNING IS DEVASTATING. I KNOW OUR COMMUNITY IS IS FEELING THE PAIN FROM IT. THE SOUTH HARDIN COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT SENT A LETTER TO PARENTS MONDAY MORNING NOTING SHOWING THEM THAT ONE OF THEIR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS HAD DIED OVER THE WEEKEND. SUPERINTENDE ADAM ZELLMER SAYS PROFESSIONALS FROM THE LOCAL AEA WOULD BE AT THE SCHOOL MONDAY IF ANY STUDENTS WOULD NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO. MY DAUGHTER IS A TEACHER AND KNOWS THEM IN SCHOOL AND AND SHE WAS HEARTBROKEN. OFFICIALS HAVE NOT CONFIRMED HOW THE GIRL DIED AND HAVE NOT YET TOLD vlog IF THE BOY IN CUSTODY HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH A CRIME. An investigation is underway after a 13-year-old was found dead in an Eldora home.Authorities with the Eldora Police Department and Hardin County Sheriff's Office responded around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to a 911 call from a residence on 12th Street in Eldora, according to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. The call indicated that someone had been shot.Authorities found a 13-year-old girl had died at the residence.
