This personal trainer got shamed for posting a video of her Target aisle workout

Too much or great multitasking idea?

Being a mom means never really taking a break, sometimes not even for a simple workout. But mom-of-two and personal trainer Sia Cooper found a quick fix to that problem when she posted a video to her Instagram account, @diaryofafitmommyofficial, of a Target aisle workout routine. Although most Target shoppers show up to grab a few snacks or let themselves be hypnotized by the dollar section, Cooper used her cart to do everything from squats and stretches to lunges and leg extensions.“Getting it done in @Target because it’s only the most magic place in the entire world (besides Disney world),” Cooper captioned her post. “So if you saw a weirdo working out in Target today — yup that was me! Who needs a friggin’ gym.”Cooper was shopping with her husband and her 17-month-old daughter, Everly, one morning a couple of weeks ago when she asked her husband to record her getting in a quick workout. "I was kind of meaning it to be fun and light-hearted, but I did not even think that simple little video would blow up the way that it did," Cooper says. She hoped other moms would find the idea helpful and fun for their everyday lives, and although most of her 630,000 followers found the video inspiring, a few weren't having it. "If I saw that lady at Target I would run away from Target. She looks like a lunatic.""This is totally ridiculous! Not a place to do exercises.""Go to your house to work out. You are obstructing the aisle.""This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen!! Target is a sacred place of awesomeness!! Don’t make me feel bad for roaming the aisles while snacking on cheese doodles!!""Just shop and spend time with your kid!"But Cooper didn’t let the haters get her down. "There aren't a lot of things that people can say that can really get to me," she says. So she embraced the negative comments — and even clapped back by making another workout video, this time at Walmart with baby Everly strapped to her chest and her 3-year-old son, Greyson, sitting in the cart. "The kids are having fun," Cooper says. "It's a good example, and I don't expect them to drop and give me 50. It's just supposed to be fun.""You can find a workout anywhere, and that's the whole idea behind the video," adds Cooper. "I mean, no, I don't expect to go grab their shopping carts, go to Target or Walmart and just do squats right there on the spot. But if you find yourself kind of just standing there, why not add a little pep in your step and kill two birds with one stone?"Many of Cooper's followers responded to her latest video with positive comments. "Keep going darling! Haters are gonna hate, but you will shine! Sending lots of love to you and your family!""You go girl! Don’t let those haters get you down, they are jealous of your confidence and fit body!""If I saw you in the store I'll be throwing you a high five!!!! Why not make the world your gym; being a mom is tough! We get a second to pee! If your children are behaved enough to let you get a quick set while shopping; go for it ❤️❤️ be beautiful be strong be brave!!!"
