Flamingos and alligators: Watch videos of animals reacting to Hurricane Idalia
Different animals across Florida were exhibiting unusual behavior after Hurricane Idalia descended on the state early Wednesday.
The storm brought powerful winds and flooding, turning some streets into rivers that submerged cars and homes.
Here are some videos of animals – such as flamingos, manatees and alligators – in Florida after the hurricane:
Flamingos
A pack of flamingos, known as a flamboyance (yes, that's really what a group of flamingos is called), were seen hanging out on the Sanibel Causeway in Sanibel, Florida, on Wednesday morning after Idalia hit the state.
Video captured by Rachel Pierce shows the flamingos standing in the sand.
The American flamingo is not normally seen in this part of the state, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Alligator
A woman in St. James City, Florida, found an alligator seeking shelter under her boat lift after the storm.
