Video above: Reporter rescues woman stuck in high floodwaters
Sister station WESH's Tony Atkins rescued a woman who attempted to drive through floodwaters in Orlando, Florida, early Thursday.
The woman was a nurse on her way to work when her vehicle became stuck in high water.
NOTE: It is extremely dangerous to drive through floodwaters and should not be attempted.
Video: Drone footage shows hurricane damage in Fort Myers
Aerial photos from the Fort Myers area, a few miles west of where Ian struck land, showed homes ripped from their slabs and deposited in a jumble among shredded wreckage. Businesses near the beach were completely razed, leaving just twisted debris. Broken docks floated at odd angles beside damaged boats, and fires smoldered on lots where houses once stood.

A chunk of the Sanibel Causeway fell into the sea as Hurricane Ian pummeled Florida, cutting off access to the barrier island where 6,300 people normally live.
A portion of the Sanibel Causeway Bridge "was damaged/washed out," Lieutenant Gregory S. Bueno with the Public Affairs Division of Florida Highway Patrol told CNN. All lanes of the bridge are currently closed and the severity of the closure is listed as "major," .
