High schooler gets surprise message from ‘best friend’ Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
It’s not every day that a teenager invites one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars to her prom and it’s definitely not every day that that actor responds.
Katie Kelzenberg from Stillwater, Minnesota, sent a message to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, inviting him to prom. It wasn’t until one day at school when the announcements came on that she heard a familiar voice.
Johnson sent Stillwater Area High School a recorded voice message to be played over the loud speaker during announcements.
In the video, which was has been shared around 2,500 times and been viewed around 85,000 times, Johnson says, “Let’s start this Friday announcement off with a little bit of fun and a little bit of excitement.”
He then goes on to say that even though he can’t join her at prom, due to a movie he is filming in Hawaii, he did rent out 200 seats at a local movie theater for her to go and see his latest movie “Rampage.”
