Analytics firm 24/7 Wall Street earlier this week released a list of the 100 highest-paid CEOs in America, many of whom received raises last year. The average chief executive officer at one of the country's 100 largest public companies earned a salary of $16.6 million in 2016, an increase of $1.1 million from 2015.To create the list, 24/7 Wall Street analyzed total compensation packages for CEOs at the 100 largest publicly-traded US businesses, which included salary, bonus, stock options and "other compensation as disclosed in the summary compensation table of company proxy statements."Here are the highest-paid CEOS in America:1.
