Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark joined Peyton and Eli Manning for a guest spot Monday on the brothers' popular show "Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli," also known as the "ManningCast." Clark, the reigning national player of the year and unanimous Associated Press preseason All-American, averages 31 points, 8 assists and 7.4 rebounds a game for the fifth-ranked Hawkeyes (4-1). The Hawkeyes all-time leading scorer talked a bit of basketball and football with the brothers, of course, plus what it's like to be immortalized with a butter sculpture at the Iowa State Fair and being a lifelong Chiefs fan. "There was an embarrassing picture of me in all Chiefs gear floating around earlier today," Clark said of an image posted on the Omaha Productions X account and shared on the Iowa women's basketball page. Eli was visibly disappointed when Clark told him she grew up rooting for Peyton, too. "Eli ... I'm sorry, I was a huge Peyton Manning fan growing up," she said, leading Peyton to pump his fist and Eli to shamefully look away. "I had a little Colts jersey — No. 18. ... Eli, I love you, too, but I was a huge Peyton fan."Later, Eli asked: "Where does being carved in butter rank among all your honors?"“That’s up there with the best of 'em. If you’re from Iowa, everyone knows being sculpted out of butter is one of the top things. You go to the Iowa State Fair to see the butter sculpture so when they asked me I was like, ‘Obviously yes I would love for you to do that.' ... It was pretty cool.”Clark also got stuck in the middle of some good-natured ribbing Eli gave Peyton. With 35 points against Drake on Sunday, Clark set the NCAA women's basketball record for most 30-point games in a career. Eli played off that stat Monday, saying: "Caitlin, I don't know if you know this but in high school Peyton played basketball for a few years. ... He actually set the record for giving up the most consecutive 30-point games to the person he was guarding.""Not true," Peyton replied.
