EIGHT. YOU HAVE A FRONT ROW SEAT TO HISTORY. HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL? SPECIAL. VERY, VERY BLESSED, ACTUALLY. VERY BLESSED. JUST THE OVERALL TALKING WITH THE CONSTRUCTION CREW AS THEY WALK BY. I THINK THAT’S SO FANTASTIC HOW LIKE OUR COMMUNITY IS TAKING CARE OF THEM. AND, YOU KNOW, JUST EMBRACING THIS WHOLE DRAFT. DO YOU THINK GREEN BAY HAS THE POTENTIAL AND THE CAPACITY TO HOLD AN EVENT LIKE THIS OF THIS MAGNITUDE? THERE’S NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. YOU KNOW, WE HOST GAMES OF LIKE 70 TO 80,000 PLUS. I THINK OUR CITY OFFICIALS, OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT, EVERYBODY HAS JOINED TOGETHER THROUGHOUT ALL OF OUR COMMUNITIES. JACKSON IS A SIDE BY SIDE HOME THAT SITS ON THE CORNER OF ONEIDA AND LOMBARDI. EVERY INCH OF THE RENTAL UNIT IS DECKED OUT IN GREEN AND GOLD. EVEN THE WINE HOLDER, AND IT’S STILL AVAILABLE FOR A PARTY OF EIGHT. WE ACTUALLY DO THIS FOR EVERY PACKER GAME. TAKE ME BACK REALLY QUICKLY, DEBBIE, TO THE MOMENT YOU FOUND OUT THAT THE DRAFT WAS GOING TO BE HERE, I THINK IT WAS OVERWHELMING AT FIRST. AND WHY NOT? I MEAN, THIS IS WHERE FOOTBALL BEGAN, YOU KNOW, WITH VINCE LOMBARDI. AND THIS IS WHERE HISTORY STARTS. SO I THINK IF WE BRING IT BACK AFTER ALL THESE YEARS AND START HERE, I MEAN, IT’S JUST THE PERFECT ENDING TO A PERFECT STORY. A STORY SHE WILL HAVE A FRONT ROW SEAT TO IN HER FRONT YARD WHEN THE DRAFT KICKS OFF THURSDAY. THE NFL HAS TAKEN THIS AREA AND IT’S LIKE IT’S OWN LITTLE LIKE CITY. THIS IS HARDCORE. THIS IS LIKE A LIKE ITS OWN LITTLE CITY. YES, IT’

Green Bay prepares to make history as the smallest city to ever host the NFL Draft, with one resident getting an exceptional view of the action. The draft stage sits just feet away from Debbie Jacques' home at the corner of Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue, where construction crews have transformed the area into a draft theater for the event.Jacques, a 22-year resident of Green Bay, has transformed her rental property into what she calls "its own little village" for the draft. The duplex, available for $1,500 per night for a party of eight, showcases extensive Packers memorabilia throughout every room. "Special. Very, very blessed," Jacques said about witnessing the construction and preparations. "To watch at night the construction of it, the light show last night, just the overall talking with the construction crew as they walk by." Despite Green Bay's size, Jacques expressed confidence in the city's ability to host the major event. "There's no doubt about it. We host games of like 70 to 80,000 plus. That's not even talking about the people that come into our area that don't even go into the game," she said. "I think we have been preparing this for a year and a half now."The location holds special significance for Jacques. "This is where football began, with Vince Lombardi and this is where history starts," she said. "If we bring it back after all these years and start here, it's just the perfect ending to a perfect story."
