'Game of Thrones' episode four has leaked online

It's unclear if this is connected to the HBO hack

Days after HBO was hit with a massive hack, Sunday night's episode of Game of Thrones has leaked online. The episode appeared on Reddit's /r/freefolk, where it was posted early Friday morning. It has been reposted a few times as a Google Doc drive, where users say it's legit. And the Verge has confirmed that it is a genuine, low-quality version of Episode Four with a watermark. As one user wrote:This file was legitimate but it has been viewed/downloaded too many times from GoogleDrive. The only solution is to move the file to your GoogleDrive account and then you can watch/download it. (or find another source).Earlier this week, hackers released episodes of Ballers and Room 104 and had claimed to have obtained episodes of Game of Thrones, though initially only posting script outlines. Yesterday, hackers threatened to release more content this Sunday, according to Variety:In an automated email reply sent to Variety, the group wrote that it will "release the leak gradually every week," adding that the next release may come "Sunday 12 GMT." The group also repeated its claim that it had obtained a total of 1.5 terabyte of data when it broke into HBO's computer networks. It's still unclear if this leak is connected to Monday's hack, but it's possible that more HBO data could be released later this weekend. This wouldn't be the first time a Game of Thrones episode was released early. Back in Season Five, the first four episodes leaked online before the season premiere. And Season Six, Episode Five was accidentally released a day early.
