A firefighter who always does his best to help those in need is now asking for help in his fight against cancer.
TJ Maury's story first went viral when -- while dressed as Batman -- he saved the life of a man who collapsed during a 10K race in 2015. His heroic deed earned him the Batman nickname, and his family identifies him as their personal superhero.
But while Maury was receiving the U.S. Navy Fire Officer of the year award in 2017, he learned he had Stage 3 colon cancer. His family is now asking for support as their superhero fights his battle, and has started a to help cover the cost of Maury's treatments.
