A Des Moines man is now $50,000 richer, thanks to his father.Robert Economaki won the prize playing Powerball last week. He bought the ticket at Price Chopper on Ingersoll Avenue and, instead of cashing it, he gifted it to his son, Shawn Economaki.He matched four of five white balls and the Powerball in the April 16 drawing, just one number away from winning that night's $113.9 million jackpot. The winning numbers were 20-24-42-43-49 and Powerball 19. Robert called it an easy decision. "My wife said, 'What are you going to do with that money?'" he said in a news release. "I said, 'I'm going to give it to Shawn.' ... I wanted to do something while I'm alive, for him. I think that's important."Shawn was shocked. "He really surprised me and said, 'Yes, and we want to give it to you,'" he said in the release. "I was obviously extremely appreciative."
